EK Miller to assume new role at LIME
Long serving LIME executive Errol ‘EK’ Miller will early next year transition into the new role of vice president government and corporate affairs at the telecommunications firm.
LIME announced in a press release yesterday that Miller will be LIME’s primary liaison with governments — both at the central and local levels — and other major stakeholders when he assumes his new role. The firm added that Miller at the same time will become the chairman of the LIME Foundation.
“As EK approaches retirement age, it is important that we plan for succession and continuity. However, we cannot afford to lose his expertise, his knowledge and his enormous influence,” said Chris Dehring, LIME chief marketing officer and chairman of LIME Jamaica.
Miller currently assumes the position of regional vice president for corporate communications. He will, said LIME, provide guidance to the Communications function until a new appointment is made in that area.
LIME said Miller, as head of the company’s philanthropic portfolio, will drive the company’s thrust to provide free Internet to schools at all levels. He will also drive LIME’s Community focus, managing all major initiatives through which LIME gives back to the people of the Caribbean in various spheres.
Miller will continue to report to Dehring and will continue to be based in Jamaica, the release said.
