Get Sleek, Healthy Hair with Optimum Advanced

Under The Dryer

Who says relaxed hair can’t be healthy? After some four years of research and development, SoftSheen Carson has formulated an unprecendented line of products, and a new Smart Lye technology in relaxers — the Optimum Advanced Keratin Whipped Crème Relaxer System. Forget about scalp irritation and chemical damage. This odourless new product utilises ceramide to protect the scalp, patented pro-keratin complex for strengthening, and is infused with a fine blend of argan and coconut oils for best results. And that’s not all; it is barely scented, and works on each hair strand to optimise application timing, so you use less relaxer on your hair, and the entire process from application to shampooing takes an amazing 15 -18 minutes.

An added bonus, too, is the fact that it contains 25 per cent less sodium hydroxide for far less damage, “uncompromised straightness, luxurious softness and high-gloss shine, which means more styling options,” explained SoftSheen Carson’s International Director of Education Shannon King. He also added that approximately 70 per cent of Jamaican women use hair relaxers. And since the product was created exclusively for hairstylists, who will be trained to ensure proper application, it will not be available for consumers to purchase. But the best news is that King and the SoftSheen Carson team will be carrying out training programmes with cosmetologists and salon owners throughout the Caribbean to ensure that the proper procedures are adhered to for the benefit of both cosmetologist and client.

Our Under The Dryer team witnessed the astonishing results at the official (regional) launch held recently at SoftSheen Carson’s Chelsea Avenue headquarters. Here’s a sneak peek…
