Anderson confident of Brown’s Town victory
FORMER mayor of St Ann’s Bay Ivan Anderson has expressed confidence of victory in today’s Local Government polls.
The former People’s National Party incumbent for the Brown’s Town Division in St Ann is seeking to become the first independent candidate in the St Ann Parish Council.
Anderson who was expelled from the PNP after he was nominated to contest the election, says the people in his division will give him an opportunity to represent them as an independent candidate.
“I am very confident I’m going to take some of the PNP and JLP votes. The people will elect me as their councillor.”
The Jamaica Labour Party’s Orville Grant and Delroy Redway of the PNP are the other two contenders in the division.
