Saturday Hustle – June 9
It’s already summer and Saturday Hustle is sharing some of the most highly anticipated albums that will be released in July.
Untitled – 50 Cent
The upcoming fifth studio album by rapper 50 Cent is set to be released on July 2. The album will reportedly be 50 Cent’s final album released through Interscope, as part of the contract he signed after joining the label in 2002 which requires him to release at least five albums with the label. The album will feature a multitude of vocalists, including Eminem, Lloyd Banks, Kidd Kidd and Busta Rhymes, among others. 50 should hope this release will be better than his 2009 album, Before I Self-Destruct, which sold only 160,000 in its first week.
Fortune – Chris Brown
Chris Brown has definitely found his way back into the hearts of many. The young R&B singer has grown tremendously since the 2009 debacle that saw him fall off the radar. With his fifth studio album Fortune, its scheduled for release on July 2, Brown will be looking to build on his 2011 release, FAME, reminding people why they loved him in the first place. The album was preceded by the lead single Turn Up the Music, which peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard.
God Forgives, I Don’t – Rick Ross
There is no denying that Rick Ross is the current boss of hip hop. The Miami rapper has been all over the airwaves, having been featured on a number of hot tracks so far this year. With the successful mix tape Rich Forever, released in January as a promotion for his fifth studio album, there is no doubt that God Forgives, I Don’t, which is set to be released on July 31, is highly anticipated and should do very well.
Excuse My French – French Montana
Big things are expected from French Montana, who was featured in March’s XXL’s Freshman Class of 2012 as a breakout artiste. The young Moroccan rapper signed a joint-venture recording deal with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group and P Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. Ross and Diddy will be executive producers of his debut album Excuse My French, set to be released on July 17.
Voyager: Sounds of the Cosmos
RazorEye and NASA Voyager: Sounds of the Cosmos is a digital download compilation album composed of recordings from NASA’s Voyager programme, individually from one and two during their launch and flybys of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. It was collaborated and originally released worldwide by RazorEye on March 10, 2011, with the original final version of the album released later on August 26, 2011. The first revision of the final version (Third Issue of the album) is set to be released on July 29, 2012.
