Woman killed in Barbary Hall
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – A 26 year-old woman is dead and a 15 year-old boy has been held in connection with her murder following a stabbing incident at a night club and bar in Barbary Hall, south west St Elizabeth on Friday night.
The dead woman has been identified by police as Nicole Vaus, an exotic dancer of Smithfield, Westmoreland.
The police say that at about 10:45pm, the teenager was seen to enter and then exit a room at the night club. Checks revealed Vaus suffering from stab wounds inside the room.
An alarm was raised and the 15 year-old was held by residents and turned over to the police. A Blackberry cellular telephone said to have belonged to Vaus was allegedly taken from the teenager.
