Bugle is Only Human

Catch Di Riddim

Bugle has teamed with Popcaan for a remix of the song Only Human which is produced by ZJ Chrome.

“Popcaan heard the song and said he felt that I was singing about his life. He said he’s going through the same thing that I was highlighting in the song. He did a great job,” Bugle told this column.

Only Human is the latest collaboration between Bugle and ZJ Chrome. In the past he has been featured on the producer’s beats including the Triple Bounce.

These are busy times for Bugle who recently released the music video for his current single Don’t Give Up. The video was shot in the United States and directed by Jerome Hyde.

Bugle is also working on an album for producers Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare.

Riley rides high in Dominica

Performing on the second night of the three-day festival, Riley was overjoyed with response to his songs including Never Leave I, Protect the People Jah, Good Girl Gone Bad, Karma, Dream Woman and the anthem, She’s Royal.

“The vibe in Dominica was very nice. The fans got into the performance and it made us feel right at home,” said Riley.

Prior to playing Dominica, Riley and his band did four shows in the United Kingdom.

BITS AND PIECES

Wayne Marshall is planning to tour Europe early next year to tour in support of his pending album for Ghetto Youths International.

Marshall recently completed the video shoot for the chart-topping song Go Hard.

Tifa and Spice recently collaborated on the single Why You Mad for Washroom Entertainment. The song is featured on the Bad Dog rhythm.

Not much has been heard from deejay Chico in some time but Catch Di Riddim caught up with him recently and he said there are several projects in the pipeline.

CARIBBEAN UPDATES

As the 2013 Caribbean Carnival season approaches, Trinidadian vocalist Blaxx, lead singer for the Roy Cape All Stars, is gearing up for a busy schedule. The soca performer has been generating buzz with two new songs, Nah Get Away and No Sah.

Chutney singer Ravi B has teamed with veteran soca artiste Iwer George for the new song Lawa which was produced by Big Rich out of Tobago.

Eighteen-year-old Antiguan model Tessa Antifave is a rising star. Early this year, she signed a three-year contract with the respected Ford agency in New York. She has appeared in Target, WWD Beauty and David’s Bridal. Antifave has also done a spread for Teen Vogue.
