For A Job Well Done
Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel’s management honoured staff members recently with an appreciation dinner for the devotion they showed to their jobs during the passage of Hurricane Sandy last week.
From the housekeeping and maintenance departments to wait and front-of-office staffers, more than 30 employees were féted with a sumptuous buffet and presented with cash incentives and certificates of appreciation. General Manager Michelle Hussey was effusive in her praise, pointing out that the staff’s selfless commitment did not go unnoticed. “You left your own families at home and came out to work to ensure that the property remained open and the operations ran smoothly,” she told an attentive gathering in the property’s Venetian dining room.

Editor’s Note
The Terra Nova All-Suite used its Hurricane Manual to ensure that internal and external customers enjoyed the signature hospitality that the boutique property is known for. Preparations commenced two, to three days before the hurricane and ranged from the servicing of the hotel’s generator, clearing of gutters, checking of drains to removing drapes and switching systems to manual.
Meals were served buffet style in the Regency Room and guests and staff enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails ahead of a sumptious dinner that included chicken satay, pimento crusted beef tenderloin, medalion of lobster and blackened snapper.
Kudos to Team Terra Nova All Suite hotel and Bravo! To the management team.
