Rivva Riddim to host Ochi Seafood Fest pre-party…
The magnificent 40-acre Rivva Riddim Theme Park, Riverside Restaurant and Bar will be the scene of a lavish Ocho Rios Seafood Festival preparty on Sunday, July 28, 2013.
The brainchild of owner Gobind Dansinghani and his beautiful wife Bindu, and also partner Charles Bromfield, Rivva Riddim is a hidden treasure which gently caresses the border of St. Mary and St. Ann, overlooking the flowing waters of the White River, and with an ambiance to die for.
“We are very happy to be hosting the official pre-party for the Ocho Rios Seafood Festival,” Mr. Dansinghani noted. “The festival has a very rich history and fits into the kind of family oriented plans we have here for Rivva Riddim.”
Mr. Dansinghani added that the long term goal is for Rivva Riddim to become one of the major eco-tourism attractions in the Caribbean and with a theme park akin to Disneyworld in Orlando.
“Hosting the Ocho Rios Seafood Festival pre-party will give visitors the opportunity to see what we have created here in the White River hills,” he continued. “This has the making of an exotic rainforest, rich in wildlife and a sense of calmness that is second to none. If you are a lover of nature and someone who enjoys peace and tranquility then look no further than Rivva Riddim.”
Camille Miller, director of communications for the Ocho Rios Seafood Festival, said it was a “very convenient marriage”, partnering with Rivva Riddim on activities leading up to the Tuesday, August 6 (Independence Day) seafood festival.
“We pretty much have the same kind of vision which made everything else so much easier,” she explained. “Actually we are looking at this as the beginning of a long term relationship and one where the Ocho Rios Seafood Festival will always be associated with Rivva Riddim.”
Gates, for the pre-party, will open from 10 am and with a lot of fun filled activities planned for the entire day. There will also be live entertainment with artistes such as Ernest Wilson, Jimmy Riley and Dadda set to perform.
Patrons will also have the opportunity to enjoy the river or simply relax near a gazebo or on the lush green vegetation. The entrance fee is only $500 and food and refreshments will be on sale.
Businessman Sean Haughton may have summed it up best: “Rivva Riddim is truly the place to be on Sunday, July 28. It is a place where one can truly feel at home with nature, a place that may well be considered as God’s gift to the entire north coast. Anywhere you are in Jamaica, and you truly want to get away from it all…the hustle and the bustle…pack your bags and head for Rivva Riddim in Cascade, St. Mary, and only 15 minutes from Ocho Rios. You will be glad you did.”
