Triple-header marks start to basketball season

SHERWOOD CONTENT, Trelawny — A triple-header at the recently opened multi-purpose courts in Sherwood Content, Trelawny will get the Western Basketball Association’s Men’s Championships pre-season off this afternoon.

The competition is scheduled to get underway in January next year and the organisers are expecting between 12 and 16 teams from all four western parishes.

Today, newcomers Falcons will take on Titans in the opening game set for 1:00 pm, followed by William Knibb Thunders against UWI-WJC and Sherwood vs Avalanche in the final game.

Games will be played on weekends in the pre-season tournament.
