Race to the altar

People Post

They got engaged in January but Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross want to walk down the aisle as quickly as possible.

And if they have their way, the couple will beat Ashlee’s sister Jessica and her fiance Eric Johnson, who popped the question in 2010, to the altar. Hunger Games: Mockingjay actor Evan, 25, told E! News: “Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever. We just want to be married. We’re in love. This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I’m young, but at the same time, I’ve lived a different life than most and I can’t think of a happier moment.”

And Evan, whose parents are singing legend Diana Ross and the late shipping magnate, Arne Næss, Jr, revealed that his mother is heavily involved in planning their big day. He said: “My mom is helping plan my wedding right now. She’s involved in all levels of my life. She’s one of the most incredible mothers ever. My mom is 69 and she’s going on tour again.”

“She was on tour last year and even while on tour, she’s involved in every piece of our wedding [and] engagement party.”

Ross, who proposed after six months of dating, admitted he was ready to pop the question one month into their relationship but forced himself to wait.

Pretty in pastels

As a hands-on mother-of-two, it isn’t all about tight glamorous dresses for Jessica Alba. The star stuck to a practical blue denim jumpsuit as she headed to a children’s birthday party with daughter Honor on Saturday.

The Into The Blue actress sported a casual and low-maintenance hairstyle for her arrival at the Beverly Hills abode. The 32-year-old contrasted the relatively casual jumpsuit with elegant accessories, including a chunky gold necklace and a pair of decorative earrings. Alba completed the ensemble with a pair of stylish silver sandals and a white designer purse that dangled from her arm. The actress held onto Honor’s hand as she approached the birthday party with gifts in hand.

Perfect chemistry!

His show has just been renewed for three more seasons.

And Kunal Nayyar appeared to be celebrating his good fortune by taking a romantic trip to Hawaii with his wife Neha. The Big Bang Theory star was spotted walking hand-in-hand along the beaches of Maui with his beauty queen wife last Saturday. The couple, who have been married since 2011, seemed relaxed and happy on their beach break, smiling and laughing as they enjoyed the beautiful ocean view.

The 32-year-old actor opted for a casual look in baggy red board shorts and a blue button-down shirt. Neha, who was Miss India 2006, looked more chic than her husband but equally laid-back in loose-fitting beige trousers and a black top. The raven-haired beauty looked flawless, despite the fact she didn’t seem to be wearing any make-up. In a sartorial turnaround, Kunal wore just as much jewellery as his wife, flashing a silver bangle as well as his wedding ring. The pair both carried drinks with them on their romantic stroll and gentlemanly Kunal held his wife’s cup while she checked her phone.
