India win toss, fielding v West Indies in World T20 Champs

DHAKA, Bangladesh (CMC) – India won the toss and sent West Indies in to bat in their World Twenty20 Championship match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.

At the end of nine overs the Windies were 41 for 1, Dwayne Smith caught & bowled by Ravi Ashwin for 11. Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels are at the crease.

TEAMS:

INDIA – MS Dhoni (captain), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Ravi Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami.

WEST INDIES – Darren Sammy (captain), Dwayne Smith, Chris Gayle, Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Bravo, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree, Krishmar Santokie.

UMPIRES: K Dharmasena, R Illingworth; TV – N Llong.
