KINGSTON, Jamaica — Five individual medallists from the World Youth Championships have been included on the Jamaican 78-member team to the CARIFTA Games to be held in Martinique mid-April.

On the list released earlier Tuesday, gold medallists Yanique Thompson, Jaheel Hyde, Martin Manley and Marvin Williams and 400m bronze medallist Tiffany James were named to head the team which is expected to once again top the medals tables.

Notable omissions form the team are Calabar’s World Youth Championships 200m gold medallists Michael O’Hara and Wolmer’s Boys Christoff Bryan, the defending champion in the Under 20 high jump.

O’Hara did not take part in the two-day CARIFTA Trials and was reported to have submitted a medical certificate while Bryan had failed on all three attempts in the high jump after sitting out the early rounds.
