Suh Sick on the up
Ever since he was a student at Pembroke Hall High School, Alex Campbell knew he would be a professional musician.
Campbell, who now records as deejay Suh Sick, has been getting some attention with his debut single Up Up Up which is produced by Panta Son Muzic, the label which he has been with since 2009.
“Music has always been in me. I have been around it for a while, hanging out at Shocking Vibes (studio) and being around artistes like Konshens and Aidonia. The interest only built up more from there,” Suh Sick shared.
A member of the Stain Dem Crew, Suh Sick is also a show promoter who has staged events like Green and White Party and Celebrity Linkup.
Change Yuh Life and Dancehall, both produced by Panta Son Muzic, and the 007-produced Floss, are some of his follow-up songs.
Hot times for Torch
Torch recently completed a month-long European jaunt dubbed the ‘Always Alert’ tour.
He says the dates exceeded his expectations. Some of the countries he performed were Germany and Austria. In Germany, he worked the Reggaeville Easter Special in Hamburg alongside German reggae artiste Gentleman, Chronixx, Dre Island and Kelissa.
“The whole tour was a blessing for me. Just to see so many fans of real reggae music coming out to enjoy the experience was a joy. When Gentleman called me up on stage and shared how much he respected my music it was an ever greater joy,” said Torch who is promoting his new single, Rebel.
