New Zealand 164-1 at tea vs Windies
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tom Latham and Kane Williamson shared in an unbroken stand of 155 for the second wicket to push New Zealand to 164-1 at tea on the opening day of the first Test against West Indies on Sunday at Sabina Park.
Latham, the left-handed opener is on 75, while Williamson is 79 not out.
Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat.
Pacer Jerome Taylor, returning to Test cricket after an absence dating back to November 2009, took the lone wicket when he induced an edge from Peter Fulton and new captain Denesh Ramdin took the catch behind the stumps.
