KENT LaCroix, Automobile Dealers Association (ADA) chairman, says he is encouraging patrons to visit the ADA Motor Show for the best deals over three days.

The ADA Motor Show is scheduled for the National Arena in St Andrew on November 28-30.

The chairman said the deals will not be only on new cars, but pickups, trucks and motorcycles.

“Trucks and pickups account for 12 per cent of the new-vehicle purchases,” LaCroix told Auto.

The chairman highlighted some of the advantages of owning a pickup.

“The number of new pickups on the roads are increasing. What is being offered in a pickup is similar to what is being offered in an SUV. And they’re turning out to be not only more economical to run, but to purchase,” said LaCroix.

The chairman said with regards to trucks, more businesses are upgrading their fleet with new equipment.

“More and more trucks are being sold,” he said.

He said companies involved in deliveries should come down and look at the motorcycles on sale.

“Motorcycles are becoming a more effective means of making deliveries and for transportation in general. The prices are competitive and a few dealers will be offering 150cc to 250 cc motorcycles,” said LaCroix.

According to the chairman, all 16 members of the ADA will be on show with 22 brands.

Financial institutions including National Commercial Bank (NCB), Sagicor, and Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) are expected to be at the venue.

“On the mezzanine floor, we will have a significant number of suppliers for equipment, tyre representatives, batteries and accessory suppliers,” he said.

“You can compare right there and then. Everybody is going to be there,” he concluded.
