Mountain Villa rally to share points with Faulkland
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Faulkland SC were held 2-2 by Mountain Villa
in their St James Football Association/Sandals/ATL Division One game at Jarrett Park, but are the leaders on goal difference.
A double from Edmond Sherriff rescued a point for Mountain Villa, who came back from 0-2 down for their second draw in as many games. Faulklands, meanwhile, improved to four points and are tied with two other clubs — Irwin FC who were held 0-0 by Revelations FC at the UDC field and Copperwood FC who beat Westgreen 1-0.
At Jarrett Park, Jason Malcolm in the 12th minute and Jelani Nicholson in the 68th gave Faulklands SC what looked to be a winning 2-0 lead.
However, Mountain Villa hit back with two goals from Sherriff in the 75th and 85th minutes to snatch a point.
At Westgreen, Rayon Campbell’s 21st-minute goal gave Copperwood FC their first win of the season.
