JIIC rebrands to GK General Insurance
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica International Insurance Company (JIIC) has rebranded its operations to GK General Insurance Company.
The 34-year-old GraceKennedy owned company says the closer alignment will be beneficial to GK general customer, who will see a suite of products and services rolled out following the rebranding.
Group CEO of GraceKennedy Limited Don Wehby stated that after acquiring National Commercial Bank owned CHIC/NCB Insurance Company in 1999 and acquiring the Jamaican portfolio of Dyoll Insurance Company Limited in 2005, which led to a rebranded JIIC, it is now time for a change.
“Ten years later we are ready for this change,” he stated during the unveiling of the new brand at JIIC’s Knutsford Boulevard location on Friday.
The company’s six locations now bears the new logo.
