Light bills to drop by 7% this month – JPS
KINGSTON, Jamaica –Jamaica Public Service (JPS) customers can expect to see a seven per cent reduction in their utility bill at the end of this month.
JPS has said that they are passing on savings from lower fuel prices to customers.
The light and power company said, as a result of lower fuel prices, the Fuel and IPP charge on bills for August is $14.47 per kilowatt hour in comparison to the charge of $16.76 per kilowatt hour that was applied to July bills.
JPS has also advised customers to use energy wisely, as the final bill amount will be dependent on how much energy is used.
