Woman faces court after alleged Sagicor fraud
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Twenty-five-year-old Dian Brown, a factory worker of Central Village, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was arrested and charged for breaches of the Larceny Act on Wednesday.
Reports are that between August, 2014 and March, 2015 Craig Graham, who operates a dialysis centre in Spanish Town, conspired with several people, including Brown, and submitted fraudulent claims to Sagicor Life Health Insurance Scheme.
These claims amounted to over a million dollars.
It is alleged that claims were paid out to Brown’s account, who withdrew the funds and shared the proceeds with Graham.
Brown was charged with conspiracy to defraud, uttering forged documents, obtaining money by means of forged document, and causing money to be paid out by means of forged documents.
She is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on August 28.
Graham was previously charged and will also appear in court on August 28.
