#BEIJING2015: Two more Jamaicans advance to 400mH semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Janieve Russell won the final heat of the 400m Hurdles in a time of 55.09 seconds to advance to the semi-finals at the IAAF World Championships now under way in Beijing, China.
The 19-year-old joins Kaliese Spencer and Shevon Stoddart, who had both qualified after earlier heats.
Spencer won her heat in a time of 55.03 seconds while Stoddart finished fifth with a time of 56.60 seconds but advanced after Australia’s Lauren Wells was disqualified.
The other Jamaican to have entered the heats of the competition was Ristananna Tracey, however she failed to qualify after finishing seventh in her heat.
