Investigators probe cop’s death
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Detectives from the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) say they have commenced a probe to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Constable Xavian DaCosta.
DaCosta’s bullet riddled body was found at his home in the parish on Wednesday. He was attached to the Portmore Police Station in St Catherine.
The Police High Command has expressed sadness at the passing of yet another police constable under tragic circumstances.
At the same time, the High Command is urging members to make use of the opportunities and support systems that have been put in place by the Jamaica Constabulary Force to address welfare issues and other concerns.
