Zumjay returns to the Combat Zone
ZUMJAY plans to return to Jamaica soon to promote his latest single Combat Zone produced by Steven ‘Lenky’ Marsden.
Combat Zone is inspired by Zumjay’s service in the United States Military, which saw him making a tour of duty in war-ravaged Afghanistan.
“The early feedback on the song has been incredible so far, and I plan to go all out at the dances and on radio so that my fans can hear it and help push it,” Zumjay said.
The deejay made a triumphant return to the stage in August alongside Dexta Daps at Club Ciboney in Poughkeepsie, New York.
In addition to Marsden, he is working with Chase Mills Records and Jah Snow Cone Records, both based in Kingston.
Born Rohan Stevens, Zumjay came to national attention in 2000 with Courtney, a novelty hit saluting Jamaica and West Indies fast bowler Courtney Walsh.
Other strong singles followed, such as Shake it, Sticky and Dancing Team, before he migrated to the US in 2006.
