ST GEORGE’S, Grenada (CMC) — West Indies Women are eyeing a clean sweep of their three-match T20 International series against Pakistan Women when the third and final game is played at the National Stadium here today.

Windies Women took an unbeatable 2-0 lead after beating Pakistan by 11 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis Method yesterday.

“Before the series started we said we wanted to win all games, and going up two nil I think it’s a good opportunity for us to come back tomorrow and fight really hard,” said Taylor.

“I think we could actually win this game, but we just have to believe and go out there and fight hard.”

Opening the batting, Taylor, named Player-of-the-Match, led all scorers with 48 not out and anchored her side to 91 for three from 17.4 overs, chasing 96 for victory, when rain stopped play.

The two teams never returned to the field.

“I am not so confident, as I would want, but it’s getting there,” said Taylor in reference to her batting.

“… because of the last leg I feel a bit fatigued but I am trying to hang on and try to keep up but it’s an experience for me. I have to be monitoring everything, but it’s been good and I am actually liking the support from the girls.”

Earlier, Deandra Dottin grabbed 3-20 from her allotted four overs, as the Pakistanis were restricted to 95 for seven from their allocation of 20 overs, after they were sent in to bat on a hard, true pitch under mostly sunny skies.

Taylor was also high in praise for her bowlers.

“I am very proud of how the girls have been performing. I am very happy. I must say that I am a happy captain.”
