Club Star clip Irwin in Sandals D-1
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Club Stars outscored Irwin FC 3-2 at Albion on Wednesday to chalk up their first win in the St James Football Association’s Sandals/ATL Division One competition.
Terrick Dixon scored a double for Club Stars, who led 2-0 at half-time as they joined Fire House SC on three points each in Zone 1.
Dixon gave Club Stars the lead in the 19th minute, and an own goal from Shannon Kerr in the 29th doubled the advantage.
Irwin rallied in the second half with two goals in a 10-minute span to tie the scores when Calwayne Allen scored in the 53rd minute and Nevaro Rose got another in the 63rd minute.
Dixon, however, got the winner for Club Stars when he completed his double in the 69th minute.
