Four hunt second win in JNBS Open League
JAMALCO, UTECH Knights, Blades ‘A’ and Molynes United ‘A’ will hunt their second straight win as the 2016 Netball Jamaica (NJ)/Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Open League netball competition continues this afternoon at the Leila Robinson Courts, Independence Park Sports Complex, beginning at 1:00 pm.
Meanwhile, defending champions Mico ‘B’ will be in action tomorrow where they will play two matches against Upper Camp and Waterhouse Eagles at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, respectively.
The Clarendon-based Jamalco will first play Flying Angels ‘A’ at 3:00 before taking on Arnett Gardens at 6:20 pm. Jamalco should come out victorious against both opponents with shooters Marsha Murphy-Dawkins and Naudia Brown in their line-up.
Flying Angels ‘A’ have lost their opening match, while Arnett Gardens squeezed past Liguanea United in last Saturday’s encounters.
UTech Knights, coached by Sasha Gaye Henry, should not have any problems in defeating their two opponents today – Pembroke Hall ‘B’ at 3:40 pm, and Global United at 7:00.
Blades United ‘A’ should get the better of both Molynes United ‘C’ at 1:40 pm and Tryall Heights at 6:00 pm, while Molynes ‘A’ take on Jobs Lane United ‘B’ at 1:00 pm and SKIBO at 4:20 pm.
The other matches scheduled this afternoon are Alpha ‘A’ vs Wolmer’s ‘A’, Jamaica Defence Force vs SKIBO, Rollington Town vs Eden Strikers ‘B’ at 1:00 pm, while at 2:20 pm Southboro vs Tantrum, Sports and Games ‘B’ vs Alexander Strikers, Police ‘B’ vs Raven ‘A’.
At 3:00 pm, Waulgrovians ‘B’ vs Maxfield Park, Payneland Steppers vs Pembroke Hall ‘C’; Arnett Gardens vs Kens Wildflower. At 3:40, Global United vs Ocho Rios Magics; Mico ‘A’ vs Westchester ‘B’; Red Challenge vs Duhaney Park ‘C’.
At 4:20, Jobs Lane United ‘B’ vs Alpha ‘A’; Eden Strikers ‘B’ vs Jamaica Defence Force; Rollington Town vs Flying Angels ‘B’. At 6:00, Molynes United ‘C’ vs Sports and Games ‘A’; Progressive Strikers vs Rose Town; Wolmer’s ‘B’ vs Drewsland.
At 6:40 pm, Southboro vs Raven ‘A’; Blades United ‘C’ vs Ebony Strikers; Sports and Games ‘B’ vs Police ‘B’.
