WADA visits Jamaican Under 20 camp in Poland
BYDGOSZCZ, Poland — Six members of the Jamaican team at the IAAF World Under 20 Championships were tested this morning after representatives from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) showed up at their hostel before 7:00 am (1:00 am Jamaica time) here in Bydgoszcz.
Six athletes were blood tested in what the team management said was “expected and usual activity” and then returned to the training session at the warm up track at the Zawiszaw stadium with the remainder of the team.
Team leader Ewan Scott told Observer On-line that Raheem Chambers, Nigel Ellis, Aykeeme Francis, Kevin Nedrick and Sean Bailey along with Roneisha McGregor were all taken by the testers and accompanied by team physician Dr Lincoln Cox to be tested.
Dr Cox reported that everything went smoothly.
