Windies to play Pakistan in first day-night Test
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CMC) — West Indies will play Pakistan in their first day-night Test, using the newly minted pink ball in Dubai, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.
The Test is set to take place in October.
West Indies will also play a day-night tour match against PCB Patrons XI between October 7 and 9 in Sharjah to prepare for the day-night Test, the first in the three-match series.
The first Test starts October 13 while Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, will host the second and third Tests from October 21 and October 30, respectively.
West Indies’ tour of the United Arab Emirates starts September 23 and comprises three T20 Internationals, three One Day Internationals and three Tests.
The first two T20s will be played September 23 and 24 in Dubai while Abu Dhabi will host the third one on September 27.
The PCB says the ODI series will be played between September 30 and October 5, with Sharjah and Abu Dhabi listed as venues.
In addition to the day-night tour game, West Indies are scheduled to play two tour matches – a T20 and a two-day game – against an England Cricket Board (ECB) XI at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
