MANCHESTER, Jamaica – The police have identified the prisoner who was this morning recaptured following his escape from the Denham Town lock-up on Sunday.

He is 19-year-old Oshane Morgan otherwise called ‘Grey Beard’, of Oxford Street, Denham Town, Kingston 14. Morgan who is facing charges of robbery and illegal possession of firearm will be additionally charged with escaping custody.

Reports are that about 7:45 am, lawmen were on an operation in Mandeville, Manchester when Morgan was nabbed at the Nashville Bus Park in the parish.

The other eight escapees remain at large. They are;

• Theodore Lawrence, 23, otherwise called ‘Theo’, of Baugh Path, Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14 who was charged for Murder.

• Kevin Thomas, 26, otherwise called ‘Tatan’ of McKenzie drive, Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14 who was charged for Wounding with Intent and Shooting with Intent.

• Richard Richardson, 22, otherwise called ‘Ritchie’ of Golden Heights, Denham Town, Kingston 14, who was charged for Shooting with Intent.

• Alex Bailey, 23 of Majesty Gardens, Kingston 11, who was charged for Murder and Illegal Possession of Firearm.

• Ian McBean, 30, otherwise called ‘Pipe’ of Cling Cling Avenue, Kingston 11, who was charged for Murder.

• Stephen Burke, 23, otherwise called ‘Lucious’ of Hanover street, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, who was charged for Affray, Malicious Destruction of Property and Assaulting Police.

• Donovan Allen, 33, otherwise called ‘Bitter’ Johns Road, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, who was charged for Robbery with Aggravation.

• George Ballentine, 19, of Bedwood Gardens, Kingston 7, who was charged for Murder and Illegal Possession of Firearm.

The police are once again urging them to turn themselves in and are reminding family members and residents that it is an offence to harbour a criminal.
