KRISTINE ALICIA makes Billboard debut
?Ten years after releasing her debut album Get Ready , South Florida-based singer Kristine Alicia has scored her first entry on the Billboard Reggae album chart.
Her sophomore setRoryStoneLove Black Dub Music Presents Kristine Alicia: Songs from Zion, debuts at number 12.
“The album is a collection of songs that reflect the oneness of humanity as we go through trials and tribulations and presents the hope of Zion. Through melody and lyrics, it brings different emotions that show the importance of unity and freedom,” Kristine Alicia told

Produced by Rory ‘RoryStoneLove’ Gilligan, who operates the Black Dub Music label, the 11-track set is led by the single
Zion (co-written by Chevaughn Clayton of ‘Holiday’ fame). Other tracks include Come Home Natty (co-written by Zia Benjamin and Rory) , My Story (co-written by Colin and Renee Morgan); Rising Sun; Blessed; and Follow.
Dean Fraser, Nambo Robinson and Mikey Bennett contribute to the album.
Known for songs including Roll It, Rescue and Your Lady, Kristine Alicia has been carving out a name for herself on the live show circuit in Florida. Last November she elicited strong crowd response at the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival in South Florida.
On the strength of the songs Rescue and Your Lady (both produced by LOJMG), she headlined a concert in Nairobi, Kenya.
In 2009 Kristine was the recipient of eight nominations at the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards in The Bahamas. She won two awards: Artiste of the Year and Female Reggae Vocal Performance of the Year.
Kristine Alicia is one of three female artistes currently charting on the Billboard Reggae album chart. The other two are Hawaiian reggae artiste HIRIE and local artiste Jah9.
