England beat West Indies by 45 runs in first ODI
ST JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda (AFP) — A century from captain Eoin Morgan helped England to a 45-run win over the West Indies in the first one-day international on Friday.
Morgan made 107 as his team made 296 for six batting first with all-rounder Ben Stokes smashing 55 and opener Sam Billings contributing 52.
West Indies were dismissed for 251 in the 48th over with Jason Mohammed top-scoring with 72 and Jonathan Carter hitting 52.
Chris Woakes and Liam Plunkett claimed four wickets apiece.
