St Elizabeth teen dies in apparent drowning

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — It is believed that a 16-year-old boy, who went swimming with friends, drowned at an area known as Old Wharf in Pedro Plains, St Elizabeth yesterday afternoon.

The dead teen has been identified as Brandon Hendricks of Mountainside, St Elizabeth.

Reports from the Pedro Plains police are that about 2:30 pm, Brandon and two of his friends were swimming when he reportedly got into difficulties.

The police were summoned and the body removed from the water.

Investigations continue.
