Whitney Fennell FLOWs into Price’s shoes
As Stephen Price yesterday took on the role of managing director at Flow Jamaica, Whitney Fennell has been promoted to step into Price’s former position of vice-president, retail sales and distribution.
Fennell will lead Flow’s entire retail sales and distribution channels inclusive of more than 90 retail stores, over 22,500 points of sale and team of near 400 direct and indirect employees, according to a Flow release.Fennell will also manage the company’s partner and dealer network and will be responsible for leading and executing the strategy for retail sales, door-to-door sales, telesales, as well as recharge sales and distribution across Jamaica.“Whitney has come up through the ranks and is a shining example of an employee who has maintained an admirable track record of achievement,” said Price via the release.“He will play an integral role in the senior leadership team and will support the charge to further the customer experience transformation process for the business.” Price added.Fennell has worked on several key areas to assist in the transformation of customer experience and sales uplift. In his new role, he will be expand these programmes as Flow seeks to further re-engineer its customer contact points.Fennell was previously appointed as an internal ambassador to assist with the integration of staff from the various legacy organisations into the new Flow.Fennell joined the company in 1989 and successfully led the Jamaica IT division as Chief Information Officer (CIO) before becoming director, retail sales, following the Cable & Wireless and Columbus Communications merger in 2015.He has served as board chairman for the Ascot Basic School and also sat on the board of the Belmont Park Primary School. A Cornwall College alumnus, Fennell is currently the president of the St Georges Citizen’s Association in Hellshire, St Catherine.
