Police to demolish tomb inside house in search of missing mom and child
NEGRIL, Westmoreland — The police will this morning demolish a tomb constructed inside a house where the remains of a missing mother and her daughter, who are feared murdered, are believed to be buried.
“The scene will be processed tomorrow (today) and the tomb demolished,” a police source told the
Jamaica Observer yesterday.The police have identified the missing woman as 24-year-old Chantel Dyer and her daughter, Orlandi Miller, 3, of Pee Wee Lane, West End in Negril.The
Observer was informed that the police received a report Monday evening that the mother and daughter have not been seen since late April.The woman and her child reportedly lived at the house where the concrete tomb is constructed.Residents strongly believe the mother and child have been murdered and buried inside the tomb situated in a rear room of the house.Yesterday, curious residents thronged the street near the house which police encircled with yellow crime scene tape.The police who went to process the scene yesterday are said to require additional tools to demolish the tomb.
