Eleven starters in BGLC ‘Gimmick’ race
With an offering of win, place, and exacta betting, the Betting Gaming and Lotteries (BGLC)-sponsored 2017 “Gimmick” race has attracted a strong field of 11 starters, including last year’s winners Tevin Smith and Shauna Wright.
In this popular race run over half a furlong (100m), the male and female teams begin the quest for the $40,000 first prize, from the starting gates, with each male wearing a harness and a female on board as the jockey.
The second-place pair receives $35,000, third $25,000, and fourth $20,000.
