Utech hosts nursing and midwifery conference
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The University of Technology, Jamaica (Utech) has announced that it will be hosting its 3rd Biennial Nursing and Midwifery Conference next week.
The conference is being held by the Caribbean School of Nursing, College of Health Sciences from August 10 – 11 under the theme, “Conquering new frontiers in health care delivery through Nursing and Midwifery Research.”
The university said the two-day conference will highlight the importance of research in influencing practice and policy in the nursing and midwifery professions.
The conference is said to comprise of five scientific sessions that will highlight current research and examine issues in nursing care, nursing education and their potential impact on the health sector.
Utech said the conference is open to members of the healthcare sector, educators and students.
