#London2017: World Champs schedule — Saturday, August 5
KINGSTON, Jamaica — O’Dayne Richards is to start things off for Jamaica in the shot put on day two of the IAAF 2017 World Championships, which got underway in London, England yesterday.
Demish Gayle, Steven Gayle and Nathon Allen will represent in heat three, four and six respectively of the men’s 400 metres.
Meanwhile Kimberly Williams and Shanieka Ricketts will represent in the women’s triple jump. Elaine Thompson, Jura Levy, Simone Facey and Natasha Morrison will make their entrance later in the morning in the women’s 100 metres.
In the afternoon session, Usain Bolt, who had a rough start yesterday in his 100 metres heats, is to make a comeback in heat two of the semi-finals.
Julian Forte, who clocked the first sub-10 of the World Championships, with a personal best of 9.99 seconds, will be in heat one of the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Yohan Blake will be in heat two of the event.
The men’s final of the 100 metres is at 3:45 pm.
Travis Smikle and Fredrick Dacres are representing in the final of the men’s discus throw. Damar Forbes will represent in the men’s long jump.
