Scotiabank ‘A’, along with Appliance Traders Limited (ATL), and National Housing Trust (NHT) ‘A’ are poised for second consecutive victories in the Business Houses Netball Association (BHNA) Divisional Senior ‘A’/’B’ Leagues, when action continues at the Leila Robinson Courts today.

The trio opened their accounts in convincing manner last Saturday, but are expected to face stiffer tasks this afternoon in the bid to extend their win streak.

Open League champions Scotiabank ‘A’, who defeated Sagicor Life ‘A’ 53-26 on last will face ATL, who came away 52-11 winners over GraceKennedy, while NHT ‘A’, who brushed aside Scotiabank ‘B’ 61-35 on last, will square off against RJR/Gleaner.

The 5:30 pm contest between Scotiabank ‘A’ and ATL, will be a rematch from the Open League finals played two weeks ago, which sets the platform for what should be a mouth-watering one-hour encounter.

However, the Winston Nevers-coached bankers, by virtue of their victory in that contest, are once again tipped to come out on top. They will be banking on the prowess of shooters Tennisha Bernard and Shadian Hemmings, with support to come from Naudia Brown, Nicole Farquharson, Patricia McCAlla and Trecia Stewart.

But, the Sasher-Gaye Henry-coached ATL are gunning for revenge and should at no point in time be denied a chance of turning the tables on their more fancied opponents. In order to achieve that feat though, the likes of shooters Sheonva Edwards and Shian Gonzales will have to be accurate up front, with minimal errors from the defensive and mid-court players such as Sherika Dixon, along with Conique and Natasha Williams . Meanwhile, the Christopher Smart-coached NHT ‘A’ to be led by Crystal Grant and Jodian Ffrench-Kentish are heavily fancied for win number two against RJR/Gleaner in their 7:30 pm contest.

In other games today, Cari-Med Limited will take on National Housing Trust ‘B’, while Jamaica Fire Brigade oppose Housing Agency of Jamaica. Both games will commence at 4:15 pm.At 5:30 pm, Sagicor Life ‘A’ will oppose Urban Development Corporation and AEROTEL tackles Maritime, while at 7:00 pm, Bank of Jamaica will square off against Jamaica National, with Educom Credit Union doing battle against Sagicor Life ‘B’. Approximately 35 teams from the recent Open League competition have been divided into three divisions, Senior ‘A, and ‘B’, Intermediate ‘A’ and ‘B’ and Junior Leagues, based on their performances in different sections.
