Ganja worth $1.3m seized in Hellshire, 3 men arrested

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The police are reporting the seizure of more than 300 pounds of marijuana, estimated to have a street value of $1.3 million, during an operation in Johnson Hill in Hellshire, St Catherine yesterday.

Reports are that about 6:20 pm, detectives conducted special anti-narcotics operation during which eight knitted bags containing 32 rectangular parcels, each wrapped with brown masking tape containing ganja, were discovered.

Police added that three suspects were taken into custody and two motor vehicles were also seized during the operation.
