Bob Clarke for Retro on the Sea
MONTEGO BAY, St James —
Legendary disc jockey Bob Clarke will headline ‘Retro on the Sea’ on board the popular party boat, Treasure Queen, sailing from Pier 1 in Montego Bay this Saturday.
Clarke is well respected among retro party fans, and has been hosting his hit radio show Memories on Irie FM for several years.
He is expected to deliver the goods, and fans should be in for an added treat as he has not been in Montego Bay for quite some time.
Clarke will be supported by Target Systems from Mandeville, the talented team of selectors who have been steadily building a name for themselves in that town, and are now looking to gain some fans in the ‘Friendly City’.
The Treasure Queen has also been steadily gaining popularity among the ‘Second City’s party set with its weekly party cruises attracting more patrons and bigger parties. This blend augurs well for partygoers looking to experience something different.
“We are bringing a retro cruise to Montego Bay, a first of its kind for the city. we are extremely excited about this prospect. we have a legend in Bob Clarke, and we have a cruise around a picturesque Montego Bay coastline,” explained an excited Nevin Nish, a member of the promotional team.
“We are combining great music, food, great people, and all in a safe space. We are expecting to just have a really good time; this is quality entertainment and party vibes from musical geniuses. It is going to be an epic and awesome event.”
Nish added that the organising committee has put a lot in place to ensure patron comfort, “from food to décor and special welcome cocktails to get the party started.
“We are looking to party like in the old days, lots of dancing, where the music ruled and not chatter. I just want to encourage fans of good music and fun to come out and join us for a night of real fun,” he urged.
Tickets are priced at $2,000 per person, and are available at Fairview Texaco and Pier 1 Gift Shop. Boarding time is set for 9:00 pm, while departure is scheduled at 10:00 pm, with expected return at 1:00 am on Sunday.
