Ford was found guilty on two counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice after he tried to bribe a police officer to release two Surinamese men who were caught in 2014 with nearly $60 million.
However, Ford indicated today that he will be filing an appeal, resulting in the judge offering bail in the sum of $1 million, pending the outcome of that appeal.
He is to report to the Constant Spring police Station every Wednesday.
