Six church choirs for festival tomorrow
SIX church choirs are set to participate in the first East Central Choir Festival tomorrow at the Faith Cathedral Deliverance Centre on Waltham Park Road in Kingston.
The festival, which is being held under the patronage of Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips, is being presented as “an evening of peace focused on hope, unity, self-reliance, love of self, family, community, Jamaica and God”.
The event, with a sub-theme “New Vibes Jamaica Suh Nice!”, will be held annually and the model shared with other communities.
Entry is free to the public, a release said earlier this week.
Performing individually and jointly, participating choirs will include the Eastwood Park New Testament Church of God, Faith Cathedral Deliverance Centre, Faith Chapel of Faith Apostolic Ministries, Jamaica Evangelistic Association, Kencot Christian Fellowship, and McDonald Lane New Testament. There will also be dramatic and dance performances, the release said.
