Glad to see return of Scotia ‘express line’
Dear Editor,
At the end of December I was pleased and surprised to enter the Scotiabank branch in Portmore to see that there was a return of the express line. I was so overcome with joy I mentioned it to the teller. She smiled in acknowledgement.
When I left the bank I wondered if it were just a Christmas treat to customers and would be taken away at the start of the new year when the Yuletide and the feeling of giving had passed.
I was traumatised when the option of using the express teller was unceremoniously, and without warning, ripped from my menu of channels last year. I thought that it must have been the decision of an uncaring banking technocrat sitting in a tower, ensconced from real life. It was a wicked act!
Any customer with a single transaction relishes the option to use the express line — even though it doesn’t always move quickly.
On approaching the bank on Wednesday to perform my monthly bill payment I wondered if I would again be treated or suffer the disappointment of only seeing the space where the express line once stood.
I was overjoyed to see the line was still in place. I was in and out in relatively good time.
Thanks, Scotiabank, for bringing back the express line. We customers really appreciate it. This is what real customer service entails.
I wait until next month to, once again, be granted the simple pleasure of using the express line when I venture into the banking hall at Scotiabank Portmore.
