TJAM 4X4 to go camping
Toyota Jamaica 4×4 Club (TJAM4x4) will be breaking new ground when they embark on their third off-roading event for 2018. This excursion will be a two-day camping trip to Paradise Park in Westmoreland on August 11 to 12.
“We are hoping to provide a fun-filled two-day event this time around. Many of our TJAM4x4 members have never experienced this type of thing, overnight camping, so it should be a memorable trip,” Tracy-Ann Fletcher, assistant marketing manager of Toyota Jamaica Limited, told the Jamaica Observer’s weekly Auto magazine.
Titled Camping with TJAM, participants are expected to meet in St Elizabeth and make the trek to Paradise Park, where they will set up camp. Fletcher advises all to bring their camping gear, BBQ grills, picnic baskets, bathing suits, river shoes for this two day, off the grid adventure.
“Paradise Park is perfect for camping, but there are limited facilities and amenities, so we’re advisiting those coming to come prepared.”
Earlier this year, the club hosted two successful treks, the first to Holly Mount Great House in St Ann and the second to Thatch Hill River Park in St Ann.
“These events are extremely important to us as we always put the customer first. These events create a family and build the relationship between ourselves and our customers primarily because they provide a more laidback environment where they are able to share with us.”
