Inaugural Eaton’s Jerk Fest delights patrons
HAGUE, Trelawny – The many patrons who turned out for the first staging of the Eaton’s Jerk Festival were treated to good entertainment and a variety of food options, as the Hague Industrial Complex in Trelawny was transformed for the family-friendly event, last Saturday.
Food purveyors such as Jerk Island, Island Spice, Lindsay’s Seafood, Girlie’s Hot Spot and Delique Juices, served up seafood, curry goat, oxtail, fried chicken and, of course, jerk pork and chicken, as well as refreshing fruit beverages.
During the day vendors participated in the jerk competition, while the Kiddie’s Village with its rides, bounce- about and clowns kept the attention of the children.
Later, ZJ Sparks brought life to the stage with her witty banter and antics.
The stage show segment followed, as is customary with most of these events, with acts such as Ricky Teetz, Wayne J, Lybron Rumboss, Chi Ching Ching, and Teejay.
