Fresh King has the Melody

Fresh King has the Melody

A number of entertainers from the rural sections of Jamaica have come to the fore in recent months, and Mandeville-based deejay Fresh King is hoping to join the ranks.

Fresh King, who has been making a name for himself in that parish, is creating a buzz with his latest song Melody (Invictus).  The song was produced by K-Swizz.

“It’s a song that everyone can relate to. The feedback has been good and we are just putting in the promotion behind it right now,” said Fresh King.

To increase the promotion of the song, a video was recently uploaded to YouTube and it has garnered over 30,000 views.  The video was shot at locations in Alligator Pond, St. Elizabeth and Christiana, Manchester. It was directed bt Ronald Turner.

It has been two years since Fresh King, whose given name is Rohan Clearly began doing music professionally.  Creativity, good music and a game changing energy are what he confided that he is bringing to the table musically.

 He shared his musical journey.

“The road to success isn’t always easy. It just takes hard work, dedication and protection from the Almighty,” he said.

Aside from Melody, he has two other songs to be released shortly. They are Paper Love (produced by Skybad Music) and Hard and Long (produced by Kollege Rock Records).

A video for a song titled Murderer is to be completed over the weekend.

Originally from Seaview Gardens in Kingston, it was during his teenage years that he discovered music and began knocking different beats on desks while performing for his schoolmates. Encouraged by family and friends, he decided to pursue his musical aspirations

His previous releases include Guh Hard featuring Mr Khool, Weh Yah Say and We Nuh Borrow.
