1. Man’s head found in Bull Bay

The severed head of what appears to be that of a male, was found in a bucket along the Bull Bay main road yesterday, the Kingston Eastern police have reported.

2. J’can appeals Cayman’s decision to deny him permanent residency

A Jamaican man is challenging the Cayman government’s decision to deny his bid for permanent residency, arguing that the Immigration Appeals Tribunal discriminated against his nationality when it considered his application.

3. Four appear in court on charge of murdering J’can in Grenada

Four fishermen appeared in a Magistrate’s Court in Grenada on Monday charged with murdering Jamaican Norman Power, a food truck vendor who was allegedly stabbed to death last week.

4. Gov’t committed to protecting children, says Green

State Minister in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, Floyd Green says that the Government is committed to making it easier to treat with the abuse and protection of the nation’s children.

5. J’can man accused of stabbing two to death in T&T

A 26-year-old Jamaican man is now behind bars in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, in relation to the fatal stabbing of two men at a gas station in Montrose, Chaguanas last night.

West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite believes rookie fast bowler Oshane Thomas has a bright future once he continues to improve on the encouraging start to his international career.

7. Skin cancer deaths rates soar, mostly for men — study

Skin cancer deaths among men have soared in wealthy nations since 1985, with mortality rates among women rising more slowly or even declining, researchers told a medical conference in Glasgow Sunday.

8. C’bean countries taking more than just passing interest in Tsunamis

With the frequency of earthquakes in the Caribbean these days, regional countries are taking more than just a passing interest in World Tsunami Awareness Day, which is being observed today.

9. Geospatial technology programme to start in January 2019

The HEART Trust/ NTA, has partnered with the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, to develop a geospatial technology centred training programme, which will become available to the public in January 2019.
