Will In Charge to seal dominance in Burger King Superstakes
THE historic Burger King Superstakes has come down to six runners.
Despite the low turnout, there is enough talent residing within the six to ensure a truly competitive race.
Here is the analysis of the six starters in post-position order of the Superstakes which in on tomorrow, November 10, at Caymanas Park.
SHE’S A MANEATER: (4.b.f – Natural Selection – Ahwhofah) — Ran way below par in the Gold Cup on October 13 and seems to have lost her zest, zeal and zip when compared with the start of her four-year-old career. She’s A Maneater is finding it difficult dealing with the males in the Grade and this trend should continue tomorrow.
DRUMMER BOY: (3.b.c – Natural Selection – Preach Preacher) — Even with the tongue tie off, Drummer Boy cannot seriously compete against these. His role in the race might be for something else.
BIGDADDYKOOL: (5.b.g – Sorrentino – Beware Baby) — Announced his return to supreme form after an injury spell when he obliterated a good group of horses over nine and 25 yards on October 15, albeit in the class below. Since then, Bigdaddykool has been scorching the exercise track in the mornings, and with the rest and the jump in form, he is now well poised to win the Superstakes.
WILL IN CHARGE: (5.ch.h – Adore The Gold – Gem Lea) — Has come to the fore as the best horse currently in training after winning four races from five starts this year with some scintillating performances. Will In Charge’s win in the seven furlong Gold Cup was as good as it gets, and since that winning effort he has prepared well for his Superstakes and it is going to take quite an effort of immense order from one of his rivals to deny him. Will In Charge is fit and ready for this one.
PERFECT NEIGHBOUR: (8.drkb.g – Natural Selection – Desperate Housewife) — Has been steadily prepared and, with his known love for a distance of ground, has an outsider’s chance of winning.
SOTOMAYOR: (4.gr.c – Traditional – Runaway Julie) — Has not fulfilled his promise.
