Singer Khalia is currently in Latin America as an opening act for Italian singer Alborosie.

The tour, which ends February 16, has dates in Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Chile and Colombia.

She explained how her slot on the tour came about.

“I had some radio, merchandising and networking meetings set up by my label K-Licious in Miami to take this to the next level and build on my team. The opportunity came up to open for Alborosie, and it just made so much sense since I have been gaining some traction in Latin America. So we of course could never say no,” said Khalia.

She has two new singles out: Ocean and Designer, both produced by Tony Kelly.

Last year, Khalia gained some traction with One Dance, featuring I-Octane, and Summer Body. She also collaborated with African artiste Stonebwoy on Spring Break.

Touring with Alborosie can only build on her momentum.

“The people in Latin American countries love the music. Most of the comments that I receive online are in Spanish or Portuguese showing crazy and genuine love,” she said. “They are a very loyal part of my growing fan base and have been patiently waiting to hear more, while enjoying what I have released so far.”
