ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Roller skater Dale Oddman on Friday won bronze in Division One of the 100-metre event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre for Jamaica’s first medal at the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
Chunlei Tang of Special Olympics China won gold, while Hungary’s Robery Hocza was second.
Dale’s medal put him in the footsteps of his twin brother Dave after the latter incredibly won gold and silver in speed skating at the 2017 Special Olympics Winter Games in Austria.
The Oddman brothers both earn a living from pushing handcarts to transport people’s food produce at the market in downtown Kingston.
