Jamaica Food and Drink Festival (JFDF) 2019 is experiencing the magic of momentum as it hosts events, evening after evening, attracting crowds that seem to swell like rice!

With pork, wine, and Asian cuisine out the way, it was time to fry, fry and fry again at Crisp. Hundreds followed the arrows to the Marketplace, downtown Kingston, where they had their pick of fried food and desserts from 10 stations — Cellar 8, Grace Kitchens, Dale Delisser, Pink Apron, Trevanne Donegal, Theo Smith, Oak Lounge and Alexa Von Strolley — which brought savoury fried options, while UTech Desserts and National Baking featuring Christian Sweeney satisfied the sweet cravings that came a-knockin’.

The Red Stripe Flavour Zone stayed abuzz with activity as the brand pushed its new watermelon flavour, which was a customer suggestion at the 2016 Beer Festival in 2016. Iced-cold fruit-infused Smirnoff Ice drinks were also up for the taking. With drink options from the Visa lounge, Select Brands, and WATA sparkling cranberry natural flavoured water, patrons stayed refreshed throughout the evening, grooving to the tunes of reggae songbird Lila Iké.
